Green Highlander Lodge

This lovely comfortable lodge is located on the Main Street of Baddeck directly across from the local wharf. Our three pleasantly appointed rooms are named after fishing flies!Your host, Bill Stephens is a licensed guide and an avid fly fisher. When he can’t go fishing he loves to chat about it. Each ensuite room boasts a private balcony overlooking the picturesque Baddeck Harbour. Our cozy living room is there for all to enjoy, with a nice selection of board games, puzzles, and books for the quiet times. Many of the local attractions are an easy walk.

The Alexander Graham Bell Museum, gift shops, boat tours, Kidston Island Beach and the Bras d'Or Preservation Society are all within walking distance. Other local attractions are an easy drive from here, such as hiking trails, horse rides, and golf courses . The Green Highlander Lodge is a great place to stay when planning your day trips around this gorgeous Island . Wireless hi-speed internet access, laundry facilities on site, private parking, and breakfast at the unique, Yellow Cello Café located downstairs, are all included.

We also rent a cozy waterside cottage - the Boat House - located two miles down the Baddeck Bay Road. This cottage has one bedroom with a double bed and four bunks in the main area, plus a full bath and small equiped kitchenette. You can enjoy gorgeous views from your deck and have a dip in the Bras d’Or Lake. Check out our website for more information and pictures.

New is Crystal Springs Vacation House, on Baddeck Bay, 4 km east of Baddeck, for larger groups or for a more private vacation.  Minimum 3 day rental, this is a perfect spot for a family or for  2 or 3 couples to enjoy as the home base for their vacation on Cape Breton Island.
